Ant Beetlestone

Ant studied at the Frink School of Figurative Sculpture in Stoke-on-Trent and has built a body of work that is both crafted and considered. He is principally concerned with stone and wood-carving, but has recently started working in direct plaster to cast in bronze.

Anarchist, environmentalist and pacifist, Ant uses his sculpture as his way of staying sane in an opportunist world that prefers novelty to quality. Tired of arguing and protesting, he “tells it to the stone”, in the hope that people of the future understand what the people of the present do not.
