Elisabeth Lecourt is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in London. Her newest body of work is entitled Les robes Geographiques in which delicate dresses and shirts are constructed out of meticulously folded antique maps. In her own words the series acts as “a portrait of people through their clothes, like a blue-print of their soul” and says that sensitivity and vulnerability are central to her work. The titles are inspired by French poems and books from her childhood.
Elisabeth first studied art at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Pau and also has a masters from the Royal College of Art and a post- graduate diploma from Central St. Martins.
